Training events involve planning, deposits and other commitments to venues and equipment, as well as booking time in our instructors’ and speakers’ schedule. Therefore, for your place to be confirmed, payment is due in full at time of booking.
After your booking/payment confirmation, which consist in messages from our website and/or from PayPal (where used as payment interface), you will generally not be sent further correspondence (with some exceptions). You won’t need a physical ticket to attend the event, but you can bring a printout of your order confirmation or have it accessible in your Email account on your smartphone, just in case we need to refer to it.
Details about the workshop/seminar are provided in the ADDITIONAL INFORMATION section on each event page. Please make sure to read it before you book, as it may help you decide whether it is the right event for you and your dog. In this section you will also find any joining instructions including venue address.
Your Personal Details
By booking your place, you agree to be contacted by Email, phone or post about our events. Enjoy Your Dog will store your contact details in order to manage the client relationship, but will not share them with third parties beyond the requirements of event management.
Our online payment method enables you to carry out a secure transaction without full card numbers being stored at our end.
We don’t have waitlists for events, but we advise that you keep an eye on the event page on Facebook. Occasionally somebody can no longer make it and they post there to enquire whether anyone is interested in taking their place. Once a transfer is agreed, it can be done as below.
Transferring Your Booking
The place you booked is yours only and anyone you may want to bring along will need to have purchased their own ticket. However, should you be unable to attend an event you have already booked, you can offer your place to somebody else suitable, as long as you inform us, with their consent, of their name and contact details (Email address and phone number – mobile if possible). Please send this information to email@example.com. We don’t send another set of confirmations to the new attendee, so please make sure to have passed on all information relevant to their attendance.
Note that in cases where you have obtained your place through a selection process we can only agree to a transfer if the new attendee is suitable and approved by us. In this case we might help you look for a replacement by spreading the word.
75% of fees paid – six or more months prior to the event,
50% of fees paid – between six and three months prior,
No refund less than three months prior to the event.
Where applicable, refunds are done in the same way as the payment was made, in most cases triggered via our automated online booking system and processed PayPal. While it may come through sooner, please allow a minimum of two weeks from the time the refund was initiated.
On the rare occasion that an event cannot take place as planned for reasons like speaker’s illness, unsuitable weather* or other reasons beyond our control, we aim to inform you as soon as possible, via the contact details submitted with your order. Unless the event was under-subscribed, it will be re-scheduled, otherwise the fees paid by you will be credited to you as a voucher towards another event. You can request a refund of this credit, minus a processing fee. Note that the processing fee deduction will be waived when you use the credit towards another of our events.
Please note that we cannot accept liability beyond the course fee, e.g. travel fares or accommodation.
*Note that most of our workshops will go ahead in any weather. Please make sure that your dog is comfortable to work in all weathers. For example, bring plenty of water especially in the warmer season, or a coat for your dog to wear should s/he get wet in the rain and then rest in the car.
While we carefully select guest speakers to offer you an interesting and varied events schedule, we ultimately have no control over their content and cannot be held liable for opinions they express. Since it is the speaker who provides information to promote their workshop, any complaint should be made to them directly.
Certificates of Attendance
While we don’t issue certificates by default, we may be able to provide you with one on request. If you do require one, please get in touch in good time before the workshop, so we can coordinate with the speaker.
Photos and Videos
We may take photos or videos for social media, advertising or instructional use (which in some cases may be part of the learning event itself). We also like to close our workshops with a group photo in which we hope to see you. If you do not wish to appear in photos or videos at all, please let us know at the beginning of the event. We don’t expect you to give a reason.
Please feel free to further share our photos or videos posted in the public domain, but keep in mind that in most cases they will be watermarked and must remain so. Should anything you obtain from us or our online pages not be watermarked, please credit us with: ‘Photo credit: Enjoy Your Dog‘ (including website or social media link). Any potential use of our photos and videos for the purposes of promoting your business must be agreed with us. We can in some cases provide photos that are not watermarked, please contact us to discuss.
We ask that you refrain from taking photos, videos or any other recordings without prior agreement, as some of our speakers restrict the use of event footage, and/or other attendees may not want to appear in it.
Practicalities on the Day
Should you arrive early, note that in most cases doors only open 15 minutes before start time. We recognise that some of our attendees travel from further away and where toilet facilities are available we will aim to make them accessible earlier.
Should you be running late and it is safe to do so, please send a short text message to let us know, so we are not worried about you. Either way, we will keep an eye out for you when you arrive.
Please make sure you are dressed appropriately for the event and have the necessary equipment as well as food and drink, in particular if you are on a special diet or require something specific. Refreshments are provided at most of our events (except for our regular classes) and, if mentioned under ADDITIONAL INFORMATION, a light lunch as well, including vegetarian options.
Workshops with Dogs
All dogs attending should be fully protected by vaccination (boosters at the required intervals or titre testing). Do not bring a bitch in season or a sick dog to a workshop – you can, however, still benefit from attending without a dog. Please note that we cannot refund or reduce your handler fee but you may be able to find another handler to take your place (refer to the Transferring Your Booking section) and buy a spectator place instead.
If your dog is reactive, it doesn’t necessarily mean that you cannot bring it to an event, but please read the event details and contact us to discuss before you book.
During a workshop, keep your dog close, under control and on a lead unless otherwise instructed during an exercise. Don’t allow your dog to approach other dogs or people and do not approach other dogs yourself without prior agreement by their handler. The instructor has the right to remove a dog and handler from the event if they feel a situation is not managed adequately, therefore putting other participants at risk.
Handlers are responsible for their dog’s welfare during a workshop and should discuss with the instructor if they feel that an exercise is unsuitable for their dog or they would like to give their dog a break from participating in an activity.
Should your dog relieve themselves before or during class, anywhere in or outside the training area, please clean up and take the waste to the nearest bin. As far as possible, encourage your dog to relieve itself before the workshop.
Enjoy Your Dog cannot accept responsibility of any injury, loss or damage to person, dog or property that occurs whilst attending an event.
